As Managing Director, I am a fully qualified mortgage and protection adviser with over 20 years’ experience, providing tailored advice and solutions to clients across the UK. Having been based in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders for many years, I’ve built a strong reputation for delivering trusted, client-focused support at both a local and national level.
My passion for the business is simple: to make every step of the mortgage journey clear, straightforward, and as stress-free as possible. I believe no two clients are the same, which is why I take a personalised approach -ensuring every recommendation is carefully tailored to individual circumstances and long-term goals.
I’m proud to have been recognised with multiple industry awards, including Business of the Year from MAB Scotland in 2023 and 2025 - an achievement that reflects both the quality of our advice and our commitment to exceptional client service focussing on the relationships we build with our clients.
Despite operating at a national level, I remain committed to a personal, accessible service - working with clients face-to-face, over the phone, or via video at a time that suits them. For me, it’s about combining professionalism and expertise with a friendly, approachable style that puts people at ease.
Whilst not working I like to spend time with my family and friends. I am previously Vice Chairman of Lowland League club, Gala Fairydean Rovers where I was previously a junior, youth and amateur team coach however I am taking a well earned break from all things football. I have a passion for sport whether it be football, rugby, golf or watching the odd game of cricket. Our new furball ,Loki, who is an active Cockapoo keeps myself and wife on our toes and enjoying many beautiful walks in the Scottish Borders

With many years of experience in the mortgage industry, I began my career as a Client Relationship Manager with Mortgage Advice Bureau, quickly gaining qualifications and promotion to Mortgage and Protection Adviser before moving over to McGill Mortgages. Customer service is at the heart of everything I do as a mortgage adviser. I believe that securing a mortgage isn’t just a transaction - it’s a major life moment, and it deserves care, clarity, and genuine support.
I’m passionate about building trust with every client, taking the time to understand their individual circumstances, and guiding them through the process in a way that feels straightforward and stress-free. Whether it’s a first-time buyer or a complex refinance, I’m committed to delivering honest advice, clear communication, and solutions tailored to each client’s goals. This, I believe, is why I am particularly proud to have recieve multiple awards as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and young family, socialising with friends. Having recently hung up my football boots I like to keep fit and active through gym and various fitness activities.

I initally started with McGill Mortgages as a Client Relationship Manager which gave me great insight and knowlege of the lenders, process, systems and client relationships. Since qualifying I am now an award-winning mortgage broker who puts people first -always. My approach is simple: offer a personal, honest service and go the extra mile for every single client. No two journeys are the same, and I’m there every step of the way to make things as smooth and stress-free as possible whilst being available when it matters, explaining things in plain English, and making sure every client feels confident in their decisions from start to finish.
When I’m not working, I’m all about family life. My Wife and I have got two young boys who keep me busy, whether that’s cheering on our team together as season ticket holders or just enjoying time together. And if I can squeeze in a round of golf, even better.

Before joining McGill Mortgages, I spent six years at the Bank of Scotland working in customer service and the Business client support team, which gave me a solid foundation in helping people feel confident and supported with their finances.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me out running, in the gym, or catching up with friends and family.

I previously worked as an Underwriter Support for 5 years at Scottish Building Society where I gained knowledge of the end to end lending process and an understanding of the information which is used to produce a mortgage offer.
Away from work, most of my time is spent with my young son and family at the beach and going on little adventures out and about

Whether he’s greeting visitors on my days in the office, starring in social content, or reminding the team to celebrate the little wins, I prove that positivity isn’t just part of the culture—it is the strategy.

When he’s off the clock, I enjoy long walks in the park, chasing tennis balls like they’re my biggest gain, and socialising with my fellow four-legged network. I am a fan of cosy naps, tasty treats, and the occasional muddy adventure, I know how to recharge so I can bring my best self back to the office when allowed.
